This version imagines itself as a proper sequel to both Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Robocop. To balance out the film the story is more reminiscent of a Terminator Film, while the tone and satire are reminiscent of Robocop. Telling the story of a City's dependence over a Corporate Entity and cultural technology while largely ignoring the importance of small business.
Decades after John and Sarah Connor Successfully prevented Judgement day, John has become an accomplished Los Angeles Police Officer. Upon hearing the merger of OCP and Cyberdyne Systems, Connor transfers to Delta City to keep an eye on Cyberdyne and prevent any possible uprising. Upon his arrival he is partnered with Delta City’s top cop: Alex Murphy – Robocop. Meanwhile two Terminator Unites: a T-800 and a T-1000 come out of exile and begin a mission to implant pieces of the Skynet code throughout Delta City, thus re-starting Judgement Day. As John and Murphy become increasingly aware of the Terminator’s Presence as bodies begin to stack up. Murphy and Connor race against the machines in effort to prevent Judgement Day from happening.
Composer: A film score (also sometimes called film music, background music, or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question.
Paul Leonard Morgan [Notable Works: Dredd, Limitless, Cyberpunk 2077]: Paul’s work is amazing and unique. He rides a fine line of being exhilarating, deeply emotional, and Cathy and thematic. His work with Dredd is a perfect example for why he works as a composer for a project like this. His music hits the right tones to sound unique and fitting. Letting him put his own spin while working with such well established themes like Brad Fiedel’s Terminator theme or Basil Poledouris’ Robocop theme. He’s absolutely perfect for giving us an iconic score for the melding of two cinematic icons.
Screenwriter: A screenplay or script is a written work by screenwriters for a film, video game or television program. These screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing. In them, the movement, actions, expression, and dialogues of the characters are also narrated. A play for television is also known as a teleplay.
Adam McKay [Notable Works {As a Screenwriter}: Ant-Man, The Big Short, Vice]: He’s written fun action, he’s written hard hitting stories and very emotionally driven and distant characters. He’s a fantastic writer that has really shown he can do so much more than comedy and drama and putting him on a project like this would only result in an air-tight, funny but serious, and action driven script. He would absolutely succeed where so many films have failed in this monumental pairing.
Director: A film director is a person who directs the making of a film. Generally, a film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the script while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of that vision. The director has a key role in choosing the cast members, production design, and the creative aspects of filmmaking.
Adam McKay [Notable Works {As a Director}: Anchorman, The Big Short, Vice]: After watching Vice and The Big Short, seeing the tone and the seriousness and how it’s peppered with social commentary and satire, McKay is absolutely perfect for this kind of project. He’s kept being a comic book fan no secret, and with his work balancing serious and satire so expertly well, he’s a perfect director for this project. Seeing him tackle heavy action and effects would be fun, and his attention to story and his work with the Big Short and Vice, it would be a treat to see him tackle such a unique task.
Alex J. Murphy/Robocop [Height: 6’ 1”, Age 40’s]: Alex J. Murphy was a dutiful, upstanding, and mild-mannered Detroit Police Officer who was brutally killed in the line of duty by infamous crime boss Clarence Boddicker. Some of his organic components were later integrated into the cybernetic law enforcement entity: RoboCop - OCP Crime Prevention Unit 001, by the mega-corporation Omni Consumer Products.
Patrick Wilson [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 46, Notable Works: Watchmen, The Conjuring, Aquaman]: Patrick is one of my favorite actors, his work is wonderful and his roles have really shown that everyman quality Weller brought to Murphy. I think Wilson is absolutely perfect to pick up the role, he’s got a passing resemblance to Weller, he’s got the right voice, and he’s certainly talented enough to play with the inner turmoil of the character. In a world where Weller wouldn’t return to the role in a live action medium, Patrick Wilson is my top choice for the role.
John Connor [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 50’s]: An L.A.P.D. Officer, who once averted Judgement Day. He is a born leader, often taking initiative. He discovers Cyberdyne Systems gets absorbed by OCP and moves to Delta City to keep tabs, still under the suspicion that Skynet will come to fruition somehow.
Karl Urban [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 47, Notable Works: Star Trek {Franchise}, Dredd, The Boys]: Karl is a wonderful actor, and with his roles in Dredd and the Boys it proves that not only does he carry the appropriate action credentials to play the role but also has the cynicism perfect for this take on John Connor. Karl would be an absolutely wonderful choice to re-invent John Connor without desecrating what the character means and stands for.
Anne Lewis [Height: 5’ 6”, Age: 30’s]: Anne Lewis was a Detroit Police Department officer at the Metro West precinct to was partnered with Alex Murphy at the time of his death. She was partnered with him again after his reconstruction as RoboCop and continued to patrol with him through multiple police strikes, often facing some of Detroit's most fearsome criminals with little or no backup. Since she lost her position as an Police Officer, Lewis has been building an underground Resistance to take back the city from the 'Corporate Overlord' of OCP.
Jena Malone [Height: 5’ 5”, Age: 35, Notable Works: Sucker Punch, The Hunger Games {Franchise}, Stardust]: I’ve always been a fan of Jena Malone and there’s no doubt she’s one of my favorite actresses working today. She’s well established as an actress who plays strong characters and that is an absolute necessity in playing a role like Lewis.
Sgt. Warren Reed [Height: N/A, Age: 50’s]: Swamped with problems, overworked and a man who did things by the book, Reed's dedication to duty was legend. To him, a police officer was not merely doing a job - they were a vital staple of society, the face of civilized society, representing the people, the restraint, and the triumph of law over lawlessness. To say this takes precedence over his officer's well-being is not fair; Reed had a hard time accepting their lack of funding and mismanagement, but to him, a visible police force on the streets, and the individual officer's sense of duty to the citizens of Old Detroit, was more vital to society than the actual effectiveness of those officers.
Don Cheadle [Height: 5’ 8”, Age: 55, Notable Works: Hotel Rwanda, Swordfish, Marvel Cinematic Universe {Franchise}]: Don is great. He’s always a treat to see in a film and could certainly carry around the necessary grit an humor that comes along with playing Sgt. Reed.
Donald Johnson [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 40’s]: Donald Johnson is an OCP executive that started in the Security Concepts division. He was later promoted as the company's senior vice president.
Isaiah Mustafa [Height: 6’ 4”, Age: 46, Notable Works: Girl Flu, Shadowhunters, IT Chapter Two]: I love Isaiah and his work. He’s well established as a comedic actor and that certainly fits the role of Johnson, he’s brought heart and emotion to his more serious roles and it gives the character room to breath and evolve from a comedic foil to a more serious player in the story of the film without discounting Felton Perry’s terrific performance.
“Old Man” Alexander Corrum [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: Late 60’s/Early 70’s]: The "Old Man" was the chairman of Omni Consumer Products before the company was acquired by the Kanemitsu Corporation. He dreamed of revitalizing Old Detroit into a utopia called Delta City: a shining, modern, new city, one that would replace Detroit.
Charles Dance [Height: 6’ 3”, Age: 73, Notable Works: Last Action Hero, Game of Thrones, Godzilla King of Monsters]: He’s played serious and intimidating, while this would probably be a more soft character for Dance it’s a character he would certainly stand out in. He’s got the presence and the talent to make a fantastic mark on an already well conceived character.
T-800 [Height: 6’ 3”, Age: N/A]: The Cyberdyne Systems Series 800 Terminator, or simply T-800, is a type of Terminator mass-produced by Skynet. The T-800 Terminator was Skynet's first cybernetic organism, with living tissue over a hyperalloy endoskeleton. This made it Skynet's first successful Infiltrator unit, capable of infiltrating the Resistance.
Arnold Schwarzenegger [Height: 6’ 2”, Age: 72, Notable Works: Terminator {Franchise}, True Lies, Predator]: The role is Arnold’s. While it would be possible to cast another actor and map Schwarzenegger’s face over them, it’s just much more preferable and honorable to see Schwarzenegger return.
T-1000 [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: N/A]: The T-1000 Advanced Prototype is a Terminator series produced by Skynet. The 1000 Series Terminator is fully autonomous, and unlike previous Infiltrator models that used rubber skin — and then finally living tissue over a metallic endoskeleton, the T-1000 is made entirely out of a liquid metal called "mimetic polyalloy", meaning it can reform into any shape it touches of the approximate size, thus calling it a "shape-changer". It can impersonate other people as well as morph its arms into blades, spikes or hooks. It cannot, however, turn into anything not of equal size, such as a pack of cigarette, bombs or other complex machines.
Walton Goggins [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 48, Notable Works: The Shield, Justified, The Hateful Eight]: Walton is a uniquely gifted actor. He has a presence and an edge to him that makes him stand out as a threatening presence. There is no doubt he could bring the same qualities that Robert Patrick originated as the T-1000 and then some. He’s a strong actor and would be an absolute treat in such a villainous role.
