Bob Garlen's Hellboy Reboot

(Note: For some of the Images of Certain Figures (I.E. The Dullahan and Dracula) I couldn’t find images that were appropriate without having to contact an artist, instead I used either comic or film stills to fill in the design as close as it could represent. So numerous images might be marked as portraying a character that it clearly isn’t, this is just to give off what the character might appear as in the context of the film and doesn’t represent what the character actually looks like. Any messages of “Wrong Image” or “That’s not who that is” is already well understood in the character sense and this is a message just simply letting you know that I understand it’s not who it is, but the image used was as close an image to that character as I could find that fit the context.)

Hellboy Reboot
Pitch

The idea behind this would be instead of rebooting and creating your own Hellboy Universe, this “trilogy” would actually exist in the Comic Book Canon. Set in ‘85, ‘93, and ‘04. Doing individual stories taking place in selective times that allows the series to reference certain events that hasn’t happened in the books (I.E. Fighting Dracula) and would now have happened in the film and would be represented by these movies. This cuts out a number of different caveats to adapting a character to film (I.E. Origin Story, World Building) allowing the films to just jump right in. Each film is a canonical story to be referenced in the comics as well as reference events in the comics. This would be the Hellboy Film Trilogy, without any additional through lines that aren’t present in the Comic Books between this 30 Year Period.

Hellboy ‘85
Hellboy’s vacation is interrupted after 3 B.P.R.D. Agents are attacked by a Vampiric Presence, leading Hellboy to Transylvania discovering legends as well as battling Dracula. Hellboy takes the challenge of a lifetime as he must find a way to kill the mythical legend and stop Dracula from his conquest of turning everyone into his slaves.

Hellboy ‘93
Hellboy and his team of Agents (Consisting of Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman) are called to investigate an Undead Army rumbling around Scotland. Joining him is the legendary Frankenstein’s Monster as they battle Dr. Fu Manchu stopping his black magic from arising an army of the dead capable of helping Fu Manchu achieve World Domination.

Hellboy ‘04
Hellboy is traveling the globe taking out Monsters as he encounters them, no longer an agent of the B.P.R.D. but soon he is wrapped in case working with his old crew from the Bureau as they are investigating Headless Horseman appearances leading to a bigger conspiracy involving a cabal of Immortals who seek to convince Hellboy to fulfill his destiny as Anung Un Rama. To this end, the Cabal known as “The Force” has amassed black magic to bring four headless horseman under their control: The Dullahan, The Hessian, The Green Knight, and The Ewen.

Composer: A film score (also sometimes called film music, background music, or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question.

James Newton Howard [Notable Works: The Devil’s Advocate, Unbreakable, The Dark Knight]: A great composer, his work has balance memorable, horror, and action and has at times interwoven with itself into what is a specific sound that would be required for Hellboy. His work on the Unbreakable is highly emotional work, that mixed with the fast pace action from Batman Begins and the tense horror elements of the I Am Legend Score, there’s no doubt James Newton Howard could invent the definitive Hellboy sound.

“Plot”/Screen Story: A Story outlined as a potential plot for a film to be expanded and finalized in the screenplay, often indicating certain elements such as characters appearing as well as overall tone.

Mike Mignola [Notable Works: Hellboy {Creator}, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Hellboy {2019}]: Mignola has been interwoven in the films in one way or another. With the pitch behind this he would take a more advisory role similar to how he created the conceptual story for Hellboy II and give the director the reigns to really develop it. No one knows Hellboy better then Mignola could create a story and essence that would fit in the continuity of the books.

Screenplay: A screenplay or script is a written work by screenwriters for a film, video game or television program. These screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing. In them, the movement, actions, expression, and dialogues of the characters are also narrated. A play for television is also known as a teleplay.

Michael Green [Notable Works: Logan, Blade Runner 2047, Alien Covenant]: Green has hit a streak of fantastic films spanning genre’s. No stranger to Dark Gothic Fiction, Horror, Comic Book Action, and Smart Pulpy detective stories, Green is an obvious choice to take a character like Hellboy and put him in a medium like film while also making Hellboy act and feel like Hellboy.

Director: A film director is a person who directs the making of a film. Generally, a film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects, and visualizes the script while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of that vision. The director has a key role in choosing the cast members, production design, and the creative aspects of filmmaking.

Andy Muschietti [Notable Works: Mama, IT:Chapter One, IT: Chapter Two {Forthcoming}]: After seeing how he can blend Horror and action (albeit with children) he has shown some amazing work and composure for his films. Having taken such a faithful yet updated take on IT, Andy seems like a director that would relish a challenge as making a movie that fits inside a comic book continuity without adapting any specific story. His eye for horror and his unique style would blend well not only with Mignola-esq sets and action but Mignola-esq horror as well. His critically acclaimed work makes him perfect for Hellboy.

Hellboy [Height: 6’ 11”, Age: 41 (‘85), 49 (‘93), 60 (‘04)]: The demon was supposed to be summoned off the shore of Scotland by Rasputin's Project Ragna Rok, but instead appeared at a ruined church near East Bromwich, England where it was found with an extremely large rock arm by Allied troops, adopted by Trevor Bruttenholm, and named as Hellboy. Over the years, Hellboy was granted honorary human status by the United Nations, and then raised by the U.S. Government as the lead agent in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD), where he worked with Abe Sapien (an icthyo sapien), Liz Sherman (a pyrokinetic) and Roger (a large homunculus). Hellboy is America's first line of defense against occult menaces. Hellboy grew up to be a large, red-skinned demon with a tail, horns (which he filed off, leaving behind the signature circular stumps on his forehead), and an over-sized right hand made of stone.

Jason Momoa [Height: 6’ 4”, Age: 39, Notable Works: Stargate: Atlantis, Frontier, Aquaman]: His performance in Aquaman was amazing, it was a laidback hero, he shrugged things off Nonchalantly and really developed a tone of natural humor. He’s got the size and the attitude to really play a youthful yet not childish version of the character. He could play him earnestly and really do something unique. I really don’t need to see him play a Hellboy Conflicted by his destiny, I’d rather see him play Hellboy as the character is in the Comics, and Jason would be one of the best actors to actually do that.

Dr. Kate Corrigan [Height: 5’ 7”, Age: 27 (‘85), 35 (‘93), 46 (‘04)]: Dr. Kate Corrigan was a professor of history at New York University (specializing in folklore) before she joined the B.P.R.D. in 1984 as a consultant. She wrote sixteen books on folklore and occult history, including the confessions of Isobel Gowdie. She appears in her first field mission alongside Hellboy in in May 1994.

Jennifer Carpenter [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 39, Notable Works: Quarantine, Dexter, Limitless]: I love Jennifer’s work. She’s been one of my favorite actresses for a long time and honestly I think this is a role she would be born to play. She’s great at playing no nonsense and conflicted characters, and I think a character that is more about the curious and the occult without being overtly eager to a cartoon-y degree and actually hold reservations for it would be a unique and interesting role for her to play.

Elizabeth “Liz” Sherman [Height: N/A {Estimated 5’ 6”}, Age: 23 (‘85), 31 (‘93), 42 (‘04)]: Liz Sherman is a pyrokenetic whose parents died when she set fire to the neighborhood. After that, she became a street thief for 10 years. Frustrated by living on the streets, Liz joined the bureau. Though she has left the bureau numerous times, she always returns because its the closest thing she has to a family.

Aubrey Plaza [Height: 5’ 6” Age: 34, Notable Works: Parks and Recreation, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Legion]: There was really no one I could think of that would be better for the role. Aubrey, to me, is just the perfect pick for Liz. I think she would meld well with the attitude and the style of the character to an impressive degree. I could see Aubrey disappearing in this role and seeing Liz come out.

Abe Sapien [Height: 6’ 3”, Age: N/A]: Abraham "Abe" Sapien (born Langdon Everett Caul) is a member of the B.P.R.D.. Abe is a humanoid amphibious man, discovered in a Washington, D.C. basement in November of 1978. Abe has been with the Bureau ever since, as he endeavors to discover the truth about his identity.

Ed Skrien [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 35, Notable Works: Deadpool, In Darkness, Alita Battle Angel {Forthcoming}]: After his controversial casting in Hellboy {2019} and his drop out I honestly have wondered why not just Earmark him for Abe Sapien. Ed is a talented actor and could certainly be up to any task thrown at him. I think a character like Abe would be a perfect blend for him to do something unique. I haven’t been able to really conceive of another actor {especially since Doug Jones did a wonderful job} for a rebooted Abe Sapien outside of Ed. This would be the perfect role for him especially after doing an effects heavy movie like Alita.

Professor Trevor Bruttenholm [Height: N/A {Estimated 5’ 9”}, Age: 69 (‘85), 77 (‘93)]: A British academic well-versed in the supernatural, Trevor Bruttenholm (pronounced "Broom") was a member of the British Paranormal Society. He was an adviser to U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt when the Allies realized that the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was racing to use the occult to turn the tide of World War II. Project Ragna Rok, a plan to use black magic to win the war, was put in place by the supposedly-deceased mystic Grigori Rasputin. However, on December 23, 1944 in East Bromwich, England, a youthful demon came into the possession of Bruttenholm, not Rasputin. Rasputin retreated to the Arctic and Bruttenholm named the creature 'Hellboy'.

Gary Oldman [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 60, Notable Works: Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Harry Potter {Franchise}, Darkest Hour]: This is a role almost tailor-made for Oldman and I really wanted to have two movies without killing him off that would explore the necessity of Broom in Hellboy’s life, especially as a father figure. The fact he died in the very first Hellboy Movie worked as an impetus but with a reboot you really need to be able to explore the character and see that bond with Hellboy that he has, and Oldman is talented enough to do that. He has the element and the gravitas to play such an influential character. Oldman has been labeled one of the greatest actors of all time and for good reason. He would not only have fun but would also provide a lot of energy and spirit to a role like Broom.

Director Dr. Thomas Manning [Height: N/A{5’ 10” Estimated}, Age: 27 (‘85), 38 (‘93), 49 (‘04)]: Manning was born in 1958, in Somerville, Massachusetts. The son of a government employee and the second of three children, Manning became an accomplished student and attended American University in Washington, D.C., where he earned a B.A. in International Studies. Although Manning's family and friends had expected him to enter the foreign service, Manning instead applied for a field position with the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. In 1980, after four years working as a field agent, Manning was promoted to assistant to the director. After Trevor Bruttenholm resigned his directorship in 1982, Manning was assigned to assist with the interim director's transition and was promoted to director of field operations.

Patrick Wilson [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 45, Notable Works: The Conjuring, Fargo {Season Two}, Aquaman]: Not only being a fantastic actor, Patrick seems to be free from actually aging looking the same since 2009. He’s played characters with upright demeanor and political stance and has always done something creative and effective with them. Having him take a role like Manning and giving him room would produce a fantastic and strong performance, combine that with his great work chemistry opposite Momoa and you could have the makings of a great cinematic pair.

Roger the Homunculus [Height: N/A {Estimated 6’ 4”}, Age: N/A]: Roger was discovered in 1996 in a medieval alchemist's lab beneath the ruins of Czege Castle, Romania by BPRD agents Liz Sherman, Bud Waller, and Sidney Leach during the Wake the Devil affair. Waller explained that a homunculus is created from blood and herbs, stewed in a jar, and then incubated in horse manure. Although lifeless upon discovery, the as-yet nameless Roger was activated when Liz touched the socket on his chest, absorbing her pyrokinesis as she was subconsciously looking to rid herself of it.

Channing Tatum [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 38, Notable Works: G.I. Joe, The Hateful Eight, Logan Lucky]: Channing has grown as an actor and has very quickly turned me into one of his fans. With solid performances in Hateful Eight and an outstanding turn in Logan Lucky, there's no doubt that the work he's been putting in his performances is showing, showcasing a wonderful and charismatic actor. there's no doubt he could take a role like Roger and make the character a household name.

Johann Kraus [Height: N/A, Age: 58 (‘04)]: Born in Germany, Johann Kraus became aware of his psychic ability at a very young age and was often frustrated that he couldn't help the spirits that came to him. He eventually lost his body during a séance to an extremely powerful psychic explosion originating in Chengdou, Johann's astral projection sought the help of the B.P.R.D. (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense).

Christoph Waltz [Height: 5’ 7”, Age: 62, Notable Works: Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained, Alita Battle Angel]: Christoph is an amazing and expressive actor, with two academy awards to his credit and a stylized comedic timing make him a unique choice for Johann. A role like his really challenges him putting the restriction of only using his voice and physical expressions in place of facial expressions. He has the seriousness and depth to really play the role honestly and the comedic timing to break tension and really become Johann.

Abraham Van Helsing [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: N/A]: Dutch Physician who has been chasing Dracula for over 300 years. Along true memiors of his hunt along some psychic visions of the Future he compiled the Gothic Novel “Dracula” forcing his foe into hiding. Sometime after 1936 he met and became a personal friend of Professor Bruttenholm. He is obsessed with killing Dracula having lost close personal friends to the fiend.

Andy Serkis [Height: 5’ 8”, Age: 54, Notable Works: Planet of the Apes {Franchise}, Black Panther, Star Wars {Sequel Trilogy}]: A fantastic and highly ranged actor. Andy Serkis stands out as the modern ‘Man With 1000 Faces.’ Often playing Villains it would be wonderful to see Serkis play a more heroic and honorable character. Giving him a role like Van Helsing gives Serkis an opportunity to take a classic literary character and put a clean and unique spin on it making it his own character, there’s no doubt Andy would be absolutely fantastic in the role.

Agent Jack Harker [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 35 (‘85)]: B.P.R.D. Agent from London. Assigned to Hellboy’s team via request from Hellboy himself. He is a straightforward and dedicated Agent. He usually gets a good rapport with his fellow Agents.

Matt Ryan [Height: 5’ 11”, Age: 38, Notable Works: Constantine {T.V. Series}, Away, The Halcyon {T.V. Series}]: Beloved as Constantine Matt has shown incredible talent and charisma. Taking good work and transforming himself in an iconic image of a character is no easy feet. Seeing him take a character that has literary roots but otherwise original would give Ryan a unique challenge. There’s no doubt he can do it, it would just be interesting to see how he did it.

Agent James Quincy [Height: 5’ 11”, Age: 38 (‘85)]: A B.P.R.D. Agent along Seward and Renfield who investigate missing persons in Romania found with odd bite marks on the neck, this leads to him being attacked by Dracula and turned into Minions.

Ben McKenzie [Height: 5’ 8”, Age: 40, Notable Works: The O.C., Southland, Gotham {T.V. Series}]: A strong actor at the end of a 5 year Journey with Gotham. McKenzie has shown to be a strong and versatile actor highly capable of taking a role like Agent Quincy and making something unique and lasting in impression. There’s no doubt he could have doing something against type and against his usual genre.

Agent Morris Seward [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 32 (‘85)]: A B.P.R.D. Agent murdered and transformed into a minion of Dracula. He along with agent Quincy are forced into Dracula’s employ to help the Master take world domination despite having B.P.R.D. Training fighting against it in an internal struggle.

Richard Madden [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 32, Notable Works: Game of Thrones, Cinderella, The Bodyguard]: A strong actor earmarked for a large future as a leading man a lot of his Post Game of Thrones endeavors haven’t really reached the cultural phenomenon status that Thrones has. With talent and heart there’s no doubt he could play a role like Agent Seward and make it a very memorable character.

Agent Richard Martin Renfield [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 48 (‘85)]: A field agent who was left alive by Dracula only partially linked. Dracula sent Renfield back to warn his old Masters of the oncoming reign of the new King: Dracula.

Giovanni Ribisi [Height: 5’ 7”, Age: 44, Notable Works: Saving Private Ryan, Avatar, Selma]: One of my favorite comedic actors, Ribisi has shown some serious dramatic talent that has really evolved over the last few decades. A strong actor in his own right, a role like Agent Renfield would be a role almost tailor made for Ribisi to tackle. There’s no doubt he would be perfect for the role.

Frankenstein’s Monster [Height: 7’ 0”, Age: 201 ('93)]: The creature was created from cobbled corpse pieces by a young medical student by the name of Victor Frankenstein in 1792, Ingolstadt, Germany. Through some sort of miracle a strange bolt of lightning animated the construct, giving it life and intelligence. Upon receiving life, Frankenstein's Monster was rejected by his creator, forcing the creature to flee. The outside world was not forgiving as all fear his monstrous figure. He haunted his father, promising to leave the world of man forever, until he created him a mate so he may not be alone. His creator refused and out of anger the Monster killed Victor's beloved by accident. The creature was later exchanged and transported to Mexico in 1955 to be used fighting in Mexican boxing. In 1956 he crossed fists with B.P.R.D. agent, Hellboy. In the confusion the creature slipped away whist his masters contended with the American agent. He and Hellboy later met in a bar and drank tequila together.

Alexander Skarsgard [Height: 6’ 4”, Age: 42, Notable Works: True Blood, Battleship, The Legend of Tarzan]: An actor familiar to a more horror/action environment. Alexander is a memorable actor who has never been given a proper due, playing numerous side character he has yet to get a role that utilizes his full potential. With a role like The Frankenstein Monster really pushes him to explore the different elements of a classic literary character and develop something unique and original that makes the role his own. He would be absolutely perfect for it.

Vlad Tepes/Dracula [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 553]: Born Vlad the Impaler upon his death by impalement in 1476, with his soul damned and his mortal body destroyed he made a deal with Satan to return to Earth on the condition he renounce God and serve as his agent in the war of Heaven with the promise of Earth as his prize. He willingly did and was rewarded with a new body and the powers of the Vampire, One of Satan’s favorite creations.

Toby Kebbell [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 35, Notable Works: Rock N’ Rolla, Kong: Skull Island, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes]: An Underrated and wonderful actor. Toby has a strong element of menace and intelligence to his performances that make him stand out as a proper person to play a role like Dracula. He’s got a sense about him that makes him draw an audience to him during his scenes that would play well to a character as naturally seductive to the Audience as Dracula. There’s no doubt that Kebbell would be able to shy away from the obvious growling monster and create a more politically deviant villain.

Doctor Fu Manchu [Height: N/A {Estimated 6’ 3”}, Age: N/A]: A Mad scientist who’s genius knows no peer. Bent on world domination he seeks to create an Army of the Undead creatures that are completely obedient to his will. Upon the discovery that the Frankenstein’s Monster exist he seeks him out so he can dissect him and figure out the formula to strengthen his army.

Ian Anthony Dale [Height: 5’ 11”, Age: 40, Notable Works: Mortal Kombat Legacy, Haiwaii Five-Oh, Salvation]: One of my Favorite and highly underrated actors. Ian has shown a wide range and varied list of performances that have shown the ability to do action, menace, and levity. Giving him something as historically rooted in fiction as Fu Manchu would really be challenging and refreshing for Ian Anthony Dale to take on. He could make the character a modern cinematic legend.

Dante Alighieri [Height: N/A {Estimated 5’ 10”}, Age: 739 {As of ‘04}]: Italian poet who made the trek through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven, a transformed being who sees the only way of slavaging Humanity is by damning it. He seeks the help of Anung Un Rama, not because he thinks he is a demon, but because he believes that Anung Un Rama, Beast of the Apocalypse has a duel purpose, to bring Salvation through the Apocalypse and help rebuild humanity under God’s guidance.

Mads Mikkelsen [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 53, Notable Works: Casino Royale, Hannibal {T.V. Series}, Doctor Strange]: There was no one I could possibly attempt to put in this role that would be as intimidating nor as refined as Mads. His Hannibal performance is the stuff of legend, giving him a dark character with such an internal logic that justifies his actions as a sense of virtue to save the world only broadens what he could do with such a open character. There’s no doubt he could do something entirely unique and captivating in a role like Dante for the character’s placement in the Hellboy universe.

Damian Faust [Height: N/A {Estimated 5’ 8”}, Age: 524 {As of ‘04}]: An Immortal who has been using Black Magic for Centuries to stop the Devil from collecting on his soul. He seeks Anung Un Rama to fulfill his prophecy, in the idea that Anung will rebel against The Devil and take the Earth for himself and forgiving Faust’s debt.

Daniel Bruhl [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 40, Notable Works: Inglourious Basterds, The Alienist, Captain America: Civil War]: Daniel is a fantastic actor. His manipulative performance in Civil War was an extraordinary reinvention of a classic comic book villain. Seeing him take the characteristics and add a sense of internal desperation and and a horror tone would open the flood gates for a more varied unique performance. There’s no doubt he could take a role like Faust and create something absolutely unique about it.

Dorian Gray [Height: N/A{Estimated: 5’ 10”}, Age: N/A {Estimated 153 in ‘04}]: A wealthy aristocrat from England, Dorian had a painting that took on his aging in his place, leaving Dorian free to explore the vices of man. Finding no purpose in life he seeks to bring about an Apocalypse that allows him to take control along the other members of The Force.

Tom Hiddleston [Height: 6’ 2”, Age: 37, Notable Works: Marvel Cinematic Universe {Multiple Films}, Crimson Peak, I Saw The Light]: Hiddleston is an actor of immense range and has portrayed vanity in so many fashions as he has depicted Loki. He’s fun and energetic with his performances. The energy he could put into a horror movie playing a literary character would be an absolute treat and there’s no doubt he meets any necessary criteria to play a role like Dorian Gray,

The Hessan Horseman [Height: N/A {Estimated: 6’ 0”}, Age: N/A]: The Horseman from Sleepy Hollow, NY. Carrying a sword taking heads atop his horse: Daredevil. He carries both a sword and an axe. Only holy items have the strength to ward him off. He is a monster and a sadist killing for the joy of carnage, seeking a suitable replacement head.

Scott Adkins [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 42, Notable Works: X-Men Origins Wolverine, The Expendables 2, Accident Man]: A talented actor, Scott has done some impressive work and his fighting has been a big part of what makes him Ideal for the Hessian. With an impressive Martial Arts resume and a unique way of moving, his style would create a very brutal and carnage loving Hessian.

The Dullahan [Height: N/A {Estimated 5’ 7”}, Age: N/A]: Known among the Irish as The Dark Man, he is an Irish Headless Horseman who carries A Whip Made of Human Spine and His own head as a Lantern. He holds a Weakness to Gold, but is powerful enough to murder anyone by screaming their true name from the severed head.

Ray Park [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 44, Notable Works: Sleepy Hollow, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, G.I. Joe Retaliation]: He’s played a headless horseman before and while it would be tempted to see him play the Hessian again, I think the added element of the Dullahan using a Spine-Made whip, would really allow Park to showcase his talent and prowess in Martial Arts while doing something unique instead of retreading the same ground of the Hessian.

The Ewen [Height: N/A {Estimated: 5’ 9”}, Age: N/A]: A Scottish horseman beheaded at the Battle of Cainnir. He was denied his birthright to be a chieftain. He carries a rather large Claymore and battle mace riding a headless horse. Only a Chieftain has the power to permanently vanquish the Ewen.

Matt Mullins [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 38, Notable Works: Mortal Kombat Legacy, Alpha Must Die, Death Fighter]: A talented fighter with an impressive fighting Background Mullins is a stunt actor that how shown skill and prowess. He is a fantastic performer and would be able to really develop a unique characterization for the Ewen.

The Green Knight [Height: N/A {Estimated 7’ 0”}, Age: N/A]: Once a Giant Knight that challenged Sir Gawain, now a Headless Horseman of English Folklore beheaded by Sir Gawain. Garbed in Green Armor he can only be defeated by someone from the Arthurian bloodline. He carries a large Green Axe and Rides a massive war horse.

Thor Bjornsson [Height: 6’ 9”, Age: 30, Notable Works: Game of Thrones, Kickboxer: Retaliation, Operation Ragnarok]: With the Green Knight being described as a Giant, no one fits that description better then Thor. A talented actor who has made memorable appearances on Game of Thrones as the aptly named “Mountain” He stands a very powerful and Intimidating figure and would be a perfect physical foil for Hellboy.

    1. I absolutely love Lee Pace, and he would be dynamic in the role, shame I couldn't think of him for Abe or for Roger either would have be remarkable with him in the role.

  2. NGL, I like your other Hellboy cast and crew better than this one. Don't get me wrong though, I like how you didn't overly rely on the comics for the story's source material, and no doubt this would be the second best Hellboy movie you could make (the first being the one where you cast James Spader as Tom Manning and had Rick Heinrichs as production designer).

  3. I randomly found this via a google search and I have to say, really love your suggestions - you understand the nuance well of a character that you have identified good picks for the actors to play them. Oldman as Broom is very yes.
