Oscars

Well the Nominee's are out for the Oscars, no Surprise that Andy Serkis got snubbed. I was surprised Nolan didn't get a nomination but he's not too desperate for one so I'm at peace with that. The big win in my opinion was Michael Keaton getting it for Birdman. Heard nothing but good reviews on the film and I knew he'd get the Nod after I saw he won the Golden Globe, which gives him a rough 50/50 chance but I seriously think that with his time in the industry and how well he's re-adapted himself to fit different areas of characters he should get it. The guy who played Mr. Mom was also responsible for Batman, Beetlejuice, Birdman, and Peter McCabe is due for an Oscar.

Also, why hasn't anyone remade Desperate Measures, that film was awesome. Michael was one hell of a villain in that. I think the Academy is Keaton's peers. They've known or worked with him in some capacity and see that he is fun. I think he will win and I root for him, but I can't say I'd be surprised if he doesn't get it. Anywho I'm for Michael Keaton on this one. I like the guy, yeah it's cause he was my Batman (sorry Kevin, but I saw Michael first) and He's always a fun guy. He gets the spirit of old and new filmmaking. He's having fun, but he is also committed to sending a message in his performance and in his chosen films. Sure you might not like a lot of them, you're entitled too. But I have really enjoyed his filmography. Even Duplicity (which again, surprised there's no remake there, sounds like a movie born for Zach Galifianakis).

Tell me who do you want to win the Big Prizes? Outside of Keaton I'm mostly riding the Paul Wes Anderson ticket. He's a filmmaker with vision and budget.

Fantastic 4 (2005) Done Right!

 My take on what could have been with 2005's Fantastic 4 Adaptation from 20th Century Fox.

An Ultimate Fantastic Four Movie

We all know Sony has been attempting a deal with Marvel over the use of Spider-Man, many Marvel fans are extremely excited. This signals possibilities with other studios such as 20th Century Fox, who seem to be hiding their upcoming Fantastic Four Reboot from much of the Public Eye. Due out August of 2015 and with no Promotional images or even a teaser trailer, it's easy to think that not only do fans think it will fail, but Fox does as well. Their efforts to bury this Fantastic Four Reboot seem to be largely positive to many fans of the Classic books who have little to no interest in seeing such a heavy departure from 616 canon.

The Flash! As It Should be.

 There has been some chatter at DC Over a Flash Movie. Which is cool, the Flash rocks, great character. It kinda sucks they're doing Barry Allen since he's already on a great T.V. Show. I can't speak for all by CW's The Flash is actually their best show. It's got the characters and story down perfectly. I find it kinda odd that instead of the second most popular Flash, who was getting his own movie at one point (Wally West), they're doing another Barry Allen story. Odder is that they've cast someone pretty young for it. Now I know I'm nitpicking here, I'm actually optimistic to Ezra's take. I just don't see where they came up with him. So in response I did a Fan Cast of the Flash citing my chosen Crew, allowing appropriate spots for the DC Cinematic Guys, but with a cast closer to what I imagine would work.

This is my take on a Green Lantern film Series, if properly done by Warner Bros.

John Wick.

Just got back from seeing John Wick. To put it honestly, this is honestly one of the best straight up action movies to come out in the last 20 years. I'm going on record as saying it's better than Shoot 'Em Up, any of the Punisher Films, and As good if not better than Dredd. Not much of a review, but when I get a review format together I'll put together a proper review. All in all this is a must see Film.
